Changing Technology Photo Addendum

As described in last Friday’s blog post, Back to Basics, the adoption of the Common Core State Standards worries some that the art and skill of cursive handwriting will be lost. Everyone will just print and use computer technologies. Do you think that could really happen?

organization dedicated to the preservation and history of slide
 rules and other calculating instruments: www.oughtred.org
Yes, there’s CAD (computer-aided design), but I’m sure
 these drafting tools will come in handy one day.
Top: combination French curve, protractor, plus;
Bottom: guess.
I haven’t used my film camera for years, but who knows
 when the digital fad will pass.
