Puerto Rico Photo Addendum 1

Our son, Noah, wasn’t ecstatic about El Yunque, even if it is the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System (www.fs.usda.gov/elyunque).

But he did like the Mt. Britton Lookout Tower.

P.S.

As a graduate student, I spent a summer on the south side of Puerto Rico, learning to map soils with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Our survey area included parts of Toro Negro, another rainforest. Toro Negro offers the highest point on the island and now advertises a zip-line to go with hiking trails.
